This concept is materialized by a geometrical operation, the rotation of two elements. A second volume is pierced into the main volume with a rotation of 45 degrees. This generate different orientations, views and spaces in connection at the center of the cross.
Fun fact: the client recovered the reddish bricks from the previous farmhouse. The brick volume on top is a reminiscence of the former barn volume while the ground floor organically opens up towards the garden creating both framed views and cosy corners.
