  • Sports park

    https://oyo.eu/work/sports-park

Before OYO was invited to pitch for this project, the ‘park’ did not exist - it was a site with most of the sporting areas completely closed off to the public. We thought about how we could redesign the site to engage a wider variety of groups with sport and exercise, from spectators to clubs to casual play and fitness. • Sports hall Ledeberg

    https://oyo.eu/work/sports-hall-ledeberg

When considering where to position a new sports hall in Ledeberg, we asked ourselves how could we maximise the use of space in such a densely populated part of the city? How could we create a sports hall without encroaching on (much needed) parking and green spaces that existed in the neighbourhood? These questions led us to a solution designed to turn wasteland beneath a highway into a vision for youth sport, whilst also enabling the creation of a general sports hall that wouldn’t encroach on parking space.

    https://oyo.eu/work/city-hall-jabbeke

In 2018, OYO emerged as the winners of a competition to reimaginee the town hall of Jabbeke, a town nestled in the region of West Flanders, Belgium. The original structure, deeply rooted in tradition, serving its conventional functions. However, as we embarked on this transformative project, with a question in mind: What does a town hall represent in the present day and how can it become a vibrant hub for public engagement and social cohesion? Our exploration led us to craft spaces that that fosters warmth, social inclusivity, and connects the two main town’s public spaces.
